The Pet Store & The Ostrich Fest

This is not the Pet Store or the Ostrich Fest but this is how we usually start our mornings at the Kellis House. ;) Cartoons!I LOVE pictures and I take my camera (sometimes 2 cameras) everywhere!! Somehow I end up not getting ANY pictures though! This is the only picture Jaafe and I had from our trip to San Diego a couple weeks ago and Ashlee had to send it to me. Thanks, Ash!

Abbey took Jaaten to the outdoor mall to play last week. They ended up stopping in the Pet Store too. Somebody LOVES animals just like her Mama!

Pam & Al (my cousins from Missouri) are here with their kids (2 boys and twin girls) for Spring Break. Jaafe went to the Ostrich Festival with them today and then took them to Goldfield Ghost Town afterwards. We are excited to have them in town and Jaaten LOVES the company at the house!!

This is a bubble you can get in and float across water, walk on top of the water, etc. That is Libby in the ball. She thought it would be fun UNTIL about 2 minutes after she got IN the ball. It was short lived but she told Jaafe is was REALLY FUN when she got out. ;)

Of course they had to see an Ostrich at the festival. Jaaten LOVED the animals!! Again!

Ghost Town was their 2nd stop today. Nathan took a picture with a guy who works there that looks JUST LIKE his Unlce Ken. ;)

Marley Farms

Jaafe took Jaaten to Marley Farms this morning. For those who don't know, Marley Farms is just down the road from our house. It is a non-profit Mini Farm. They have a petting zoo there with tons of animals which Jaaten LOVES!!! Today they had a pony, a deer and a goat for her to feed. We need one of those little scooper things they give the kids to feed the animals for our house! I'm always afraid Jaaten's fingers are going to get lost in Ted or Franny's mouth!

The owner of Marley Farms was there today with a little pet lamb that followed him around like a dog. Jaafe said Jaaten followed the Little Lamb around trying to grab its tail. As Jaafe was telling me about that Little Lamb, I could see the wheels turning in Jaafe's head. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a Little Lamb out our house soon!

The Aftermath

Grammy and Papa went back home yesterday. While they were here, they took Jaaten to the Dr. for me when Jaafe and I were in San Diego. This was her waiting to see the Dr., watching Toy Story 3. Grammy and Papa said she was really good for the Dr. so I'm not sure they had my child when they actually went in. ;) When they first got in town, Jaaten was unsure of Grammy and Papa.........for about 2 minutes. It didn't take Jaaten long to ONLY want her Papa though. If Papa is in the room, NOBODY else has a chance!!

Yesterday was Abbey's first day back with Jaaten and last night was the first evening without Grammy and Papa. Both were a small struggle. TODAY, however, we are experiencing the real aftermath of grandparents, M&M's, ice cream, cinnamon rolls and brownies. Jaaten opted out of her morning nap (which she never does) and was WILD all day. Abbey took her to the park to "wear her out". It worked because she was out at 4p. There is always an adjustment period after Grammy and Papa leave.......it just seems the adjustment period gets longer each time. But I wouldn't change a thing!

Thanks for being such perfect Grandparents for my Little Gal! She is lucky to have you! Love you guys. ;)

Ted & the Busy Girl

What kid doesn't love to put black olives on all their fingers?? Jaaten learned this one early! When Grammie & Papa got to the house last week, Jaaten was excited to see everything they brought her. Jaaten even found a pumpkin Grammie brought for Halloween that Mom forgot to get out. Oops!

This is Jaaten singing to her Daddy Monday evening after we ate dinner. Too funny.

Jaaten really loves Ted but she has not really got that you have to HOLD ON when you ride a pony. She was dancing around in her cute pink saddle instead. She must have known her Papa wouldn't let her fall.

I guess Jaaten was pooped after her ride. ;) She let her Papa push her on the swing for a while afterwards.

A Fairy, A Cookie & The Outdoors

I've been wondering how old Jaaten would be before she would want to start dressing up. Aunt Shorty brought us this little Disney Fairy outfit with a couple others too. Jaaten brought this one to me this morning and started to unzip her pajamas to put it on. She wore it to drink her Tea and go down the slide and read books. I guess I have my answer. ;)

Jaafe had Jaaten today. We gave her a heart shaped cookie to ice after lunch today and eat it. She thought it was so funny and of course got it EVERYWHERE!!

Abbey stayed around the house Friday with Jaaten so they decided to play outside. Jaaten LOVES anything outside so she was as happy as could be. We have lime trees by our driveway Jaaten just can't resist EVERY TIME we go outside!! Even though she knows how sour they are, she keeps biting right into them. ;) Jaaten pushed her dog in the stroller and then had a little picnic.
