Grammie & Papa Have Been Here!!

Grammie and Papa always bring the kids A LOT of LOOT when they come to Arizona.  Jaaten said, "Let's see watcha got" as soon as she saw the suitcases.  Wow!

Grammie brought these cute Halloween costumes for the boys but they were a little too big...

I LOVE these sweet boys!

Our good family friends Jim & Mignon sent the boys money for their birthday so we could get them a couple new toys.  Not sure when I will learn to just get 2 of the exact same toys.  Never fails that the boys both want the same toy!

 Papa does pretty much anything Jaaten asks....including sitting ON the table and wearing tiaras. ;)

 Papa and Jaaten carved a pumpkin for Halloween.  Jaaten wouldn't actually touch the pumpkin because she said "It's gross."

 Jaaten won a huge basket FULL of princess games, toys, dolls, etc. in a raffle at her school carnival last week.  This is Jaaten seeing the basket for the first time.  She said "Papa, check this out."  I love that Girl!!

 Steel's new thing is to throw all the toys out of the toy bins so he can sit IN the toy bin.  He thinks he is so cool once he sits down and looks around to see who is looking at him. ;)

 

Grammie and Jaaten made sugar cookies.  Papa helped too I guess!  Jaaten was eating the dough as fast as Grammie prepped it to cut.

 

What Did She Say??

It is already half way through October and no posts!!  I have been going to bed right after the last child in our house hits the pillow so the blog has suffered a little. ;)  Jaaten is entertaining us with all the new sentences she says!!  I am guessing she is picking up sayings from kids at school.  However, some phrases that come out of her mouth have been embarrassingly familiar....almost like they may have come from my mouth!!

Me:  "Jaaten, please don't hit the boys, they love you."
Jaaten:  "Okay.  Fine.  Whatever!"

Me:  "Did Papa let you pick out your own doughnut?"
Jaaten:  "He sure did!"

Jaaten came to find me right after I put her down for bed the other night:
Jaaten:  "Mom, we need to talk about our costumes."
Me:  "We do?"
Jaaten:  "Yeah, you can be a witch and Dad can be a dragon".
Me:  "Well what are you going to be?"
Jaaten:  "A princess.  Duh!  With my hair and my bracelets."

And maybe the funniest yet...  Jaaten got in trouble for hitting Hudson and had to sit by me and do nothing for a while.  Right after I made her sit down by me she said, "Mom, you should be a sea witch for Halloween."  HA!  I guess I am mean and scary.  ;)

The boys are both walking pretty well now too.  They would follow Jaaten everywhere she went if they could!!

Jaaten got a new big girl bed!!  She loved helping her Dad take her toddler bed apart and kept telling us she was getting a Big Girl Bed. ;)  She had been waking up a lot in the middle of the night telling me she was uncomfortable.  I have not decided what to do for her bed yet.  In the meantime, she loves this queen mattress all to herself!!

Before school September 27th.  Definitely picked up sticking out her tongue from school!!  Ugh!!

Steel is due for his first hair cut.  To be continued...

Hudson still gets breathing treatments but only as needed.  He has been doing really well though. ;)

Jaaten was SO excited to go pick up her Grammie & Papa from the airport!!

Jaafe was kicking the soccer ball back and forth with Jaaten and the boys could not get enough!!  They sat and stared at them for what seemed like an eternity for one year old boys. ;)  The pictures were a little dark but it was so funny I had to post them. ;)

Our House is Crazy!

The boys are trying to get at my flowers in the vase behind the couch!  They are into EVERYTHING!!

 Jaafe came to the boys' 1 year appointment which I was SUPER thankful for because the boys both got shots. Ugh!!

Jaaten loves her new backpack for school!  She thinks it is so cool that there is a place for her sippy. ;)  Jaaten has also improved to looking at the camera when I ask her to but I usually get this look.  I think I liked when she looked away...at least she was smiling!!

It is monsoon season in AZ so we had a really hard rain last week.  It is still really warm outside when it rains so playing in the rain is pretty great!!  ;)  Well, Jaaten thought it was great....the boys looked less than amused though.  ;/

I took these pictures just this week.  Although Hudson started walking last week, Steel has decided to join in on the walking thing.  It is pretty crazy!!

Jaaten got out all her dress up stuff on Thursday.  As soon as I set the bin of loot on the floor the boys took over!!  Jaaten didn't mind as much as I thought she would though, ;)

 

 The boys are loving slobbering my windows!!
