The Ranch, Eye Doctor and Costumes

Jaafe and the boys headed north to the ranch when we got back from the beach.  Jaaten had no interest in going which I loved. ;)  I had to work but we were able to spend the evenings with just girls.
Hudson and Steel had a great time up north.  I'm always a nervous mess when they leave but they always come back so happy.  This time they brought bones hey dug up back with them.  Such a boy thing!  They were both so excited about everything they had done at the ranch.  They toted those bones around for a month after they got back HA!  SO cute!

These first two pictures are one of Jaafe's friends that let Steel ride in his big o machine!  Hudson didn't want to go that day. 10.9.18

Headed to the ranch....Hudson rode with Jaafe in this HUGE semi because he gets car sick.  Not this time though!

 In the ranch house. ;)

Steel wanted a picture on the horse with nobody in the picture.  HA!

Headed home....Steel's asleep before they even get out of the ranch!
SOOOOOO happy about their bones!!  10.11.18

The boys are looking at a picture of Jaafe and I on the first vacation we ever went on together.  We were eating dinner at a restaurant in Cabo San Lucas.  I want to say it was in 2005.  They stared and giggle at that picture for what seemed like a long time.  They asked why they weren't in the picture, why we look "like that" which he could give me more details on what he was asking.  Steel said, "Mom, you look the same but Dad looks so different."  I'm not sure what he means!  Picture they were looking at is below. Kids are funny. ;)

These two on SnapChat.  It is so funny to me they always like the SanpChat faces Jaaten likes....even if they are super girly.  Jaafe loves that! 10.12.18

Hudson and Steel both needed to get their eyes tested.  Jaafe wanted the boys to go to an eye doctor that was a friend of his in high school.  The boys did awesome and thought the eye machines were so cool!  10.15.18

Steel got to pick out new glasses that would be ready for him in a few days.  Hudson didn't need glasses and cried the whole way home because he didn't get any.  Sheesh!  10.15.18
The kids and I went to pick out their Halloween costumes.  Hudson already had a Darth Vador costume he was going to wear and didn't want to put it on for a picture.  But these two...posing for days!  10.16.18

Making Halloween cookies.....Grammie was in town!

Newport & Legoland

I think ALL of us look forward to fall break at the beach!!  We ALMOST decided not to go this year though.  Glad we made it!  We drove to Newport on Grammie's birthday this year.  The kids loved that it was her birthday.  Lol!
We did change it up and try Legoland this year instead of Disneyland.  The kids said they loved Legoland but Jaafe and I thought it was lacking a bit.  Ha!  As long as the kids liked it. ;)
We also started doing puzzles at the beach this year.  I bought a 750 piece puzzle thinking we could put it out on the table and everyone could work on it here and there throughout the week. We must be puzzle masters!  HAHA!  We completed the first puzzle in a day....everyone was hooked and determined to complete it.  So funny!  We ended up buying a couple more and finishing those too!  Everyone helped at some point.  Jaafe, Dad and I (and Jess the days she was there) were the late nighters working on the puzzle.  Funny!
Another fun beach trip in the books. Jaafe and I were talking about how we only have 9 more fall breaks with Jaaten.  Seems like a lot but it's really not and I know it will fly by us.  We are trying to enjoy every break with them to the fullest. 9.29.18
