Back in the Swing...

It didn't take the kids long at all to get right back into our school year routine!  And it feels so good!  HA!  This girl was excited to get a birthday present in August!  From our sweet friend Jess!  8.1.18

For those of you that live here in the desert, this is a normal site.  For those of you that are in the Midwest, this looks intense!  This is a fairly common site here and the kids love when we see them coming! 8.2.18

I swear it is hazardous to work in new home sales....seeing all the new EVERYTHING makes me feel like my house is so old!  And dated!  And then I find something that helps me not want to bulldoze it down and start over....like these gems. ;)  I saw these counter stools in our new models at work.  So I stole them.  Kidding....but I loved them and had to buy them.  It was time.  Our old ones were trashed!  And they had backs on them which sometimes made the kids lean over to far when watching tv and down the chair went backwards.  And now I don't want the kids to even look at these new stools let alone make contact.  Ha!   8.7.18

 These two!  If you couldn't tell for sure, this is Jaaten and Steel!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  SnapChat…..it makes me laugh!  8.14.18

Birthday parties begin!  Jaaten's cute friend, Katie, had this super fun slumber party at her house with ALL these girls!  They had a lady come to the house and do all the girls fingernails and toenails, played games, and ate CAKE!  "What is a party without cake?" says Jaaten always! Jaaten was REALLY sad she was not able to stay the night but she wasn't the only one. 8.17.18

 

First Day of School!

School has officially started!  All three kids were excited.....BUT.....my little brown headed boy (Steel) was my only crier again this year.  And man did it tug at this mama's heartstrings to leave him there crying!  We will have 0 for 3 tears next year....I hope!  They all looked so cute though!  7.23.18

 

 

 We all dropped Jaaten off at her class first....then the boys headed down the 1st grade hallway.  I love when they walk together.  I started to get a little sad right about HERE!  Agh!

 AND I couldn't even get a picture of Steel in his classroom with his big ole crocodile tears!  So we took one after school. ;)  Good enough!

Meet the Teacher Night!

Jaaten is going into THIRD grade this year and Hudson and Steel are going into FIRST!!  Time is ticking by us! Jaaten was trying on backpacks.....I love how girly she is!  7.14.18

Meet the teacher night was great!  I'm so glad the kids all get to meet their teacher, see their classroom and find their desk before the first day.  I don't remember being able to do that....but I'm sure we did. 7.19.18
We stopped at Steel's class first.  Mrs. Mogowski is the kindest teacher and such a perfect match for Steel and his little tender heart.

 Mrs. Franzen is Hudson's new teacher.  She has four boys of her own which I love!  Hudson was so excited to meet her and she is just awesome!

 Jaaten was SOOOOOO excited to have her little friend Darcy in her class this year.  Although they were separated after the first couple days for talking too much.  Totally my kid!

 Jaaten got Mrs. Kimling this year who was ready to have a baby!  Mrs. Hahn will be the long term sub while she is on leave.  Hudson had Mrs. Hahn when his kinder teacher was on maternity leave and she is awesome!  Happy to see her again!

Cousins!  Jaafe ran the kids over to see Kleet and Kambri when we got back form the lake.  Everyone is getting so big!  7.22.18

Happy 9th Birthday, Jaaten Greer!

Jaaten…..she's 9 now!  Happy Birthday, Pretty Girl!
Jaaten is so fun, so smart, brave, tough as nails, has amazing handwriting, loves school, loves her family, loves her friends, LOVES to try new things, she is kind, thoughtful, our easiest kiddo (am I not supposed to say that?! Ha!), funny, silly, loves to make people laugh and absolutely adores both her Grammie and her Papa!  Sometimes she gets a little sassy and is fairly dramatic at times....but I love it all!  LOL!  It is so funny how much of me I see in Jaaten when I was her age.  So happy to be this girl's mama! ;)
I love this first picture because she doesn't love on these boys much unless it's in the form of a choke hold. ;)

We got back to AZ from the lake this year on a 7:30p flight.  I planned Jaaten's birthday party for the next morning at 11a.  Not my best planning but swimming at the house birthdays have gotten easier.  Especially with this group of girls that swim here regularly anyway!  7.12.18

 

 Today is the Day!!  Happy 9th Birthday, Miss!  We love you! We had a few gifts for Jaaten that morning and then she wanted to eat dinner at Kona Grill that evening. 7.13.18

 And she chose carrot cake....growing up fast!
